Snakes hold a special place in the hearts and minds of the Chinese people. The snake, after
all, is a small dragon! — For the Year of the Snake (2013), CTW will present a joyous mix of traditional and contemporary puppetry, dance, song and story.
“Hao Bang Ya” is a common Chinese expression meaning “Great!” or “Well done!” The show features a jolly selection of puppet vignettes, many based on popular songs and or well know Chinese sayings. While some parts of the program are performed in Chinese, all include English explanations. Sing-alongs, games and audience participation and a post-show hands-on demonstrations make the Chinese cultural experience and language learning accessible to even the youngest audience members.
You and your family are more than welcome to join us!
Please visit http://www.aacfli.org/ for more information about the festival.
P.S.: this great program is now also available to travel up and perform for you at your convenience. Please feel free to contact us if you are considering CTW as you program for this year!
